Day 01: Start
Start from your location toward Hasimara.
Day 02: Hasimara-Jaigaon
Reach Hasimara railway station and proceed to Jaigaon.Check-in to the hotel, After lunch process for immigration permit. Evening free for individual activities.
Day 03: Jaigaon-Thimpu
After breakfast start for Thimpu, lunch on the way. Reach Thimpu in the evening and check-in to the hotel.
Day 04: Thimpu Sightseeing
After Breakfast: & Visit Sightseeing Starts – 1) Memorial Chorten 2) Buddha Point, 3) Coronation Park, 4) TakinZoo [National Animal of Bhutan], 5] Folk Heritage Museum, 6) National Painting School, 7] School of Arts & Crafts, 8] Handicrafts & Textile Museum, 9] Handmade Paper Factory, 10] Tashicchhoe Dzong (Thimphu Dzong) – Overnight Stay at Thimphu.
Day 05: Thimpu-Punakha-Paro
Excursion to Punakha Sightseeing & Night Stay at Paro.After Breakfast: & Transfer to Punakha – It is approximately 90 kilometers and is nearly 03 hours from Thimphu. Enroute Visit 1) Semtokha Dzong, 2) Dochu la Pass, 3) Chhimi Lhakhang, 4) Punakha Dzong, 5) Suspension Bridge (Longest Bridge in Bhutan) & Transfer to Paro. Overnight stay in Paro.
Day 06: Paro Sightseeing
Paro Sightseeing & Night Stay at ParoVisit 1) Rinpung Dzong (Paro Dzong), 2] Kichu Lhakhang Monastery, 3] Drukgyal Dzong (Presently closed for Tourist), 4] Tiger Nest Monasteries [View Point] & 5] Ta Dzong (Paro Museum).
Day 07: Explore Taktsang Monastry
FULL DAY HIKE TO TAKTSANG LHAKHANG (TIGER`S NEST) Start the day early for a day hike to Taktsang Lhakhang (Tiger’s Nest Monastery) – The hike which is all the way uphill takes about 2 /3 hours one way through pine forests.
Day 08: Paro – Hasimara Drop, Return Journey
After Breakfast: Check-Out from Hotel & Today you will depart from Paro with a cute smile on your face remembering all the sweet moments spent here and drive back to drop Hasimara Railway Station for return journey.
Day 09: Back
Back home early in the morning.

By Air:
Flying to Bhutan from India is quite easy. There are two direct airlines, namely, Drukair and Bhutan Airlines that operate flights from Delhi, Gaya, Bagdogra, Kolkata, Mumbai and Guwahati to Paro, Bhutan’s only international airport. Indian travellers can be offered special fares in Drukair, if the airline is contacted through email.
By Rail:
One of the cheapest ways to reach Bhutan from India is by rail. Hasimara is the nearest railway station to Jaigaon, an Indian town on Indo-Bhutan Border. It is situated at a distance of 17 kms from Jaigaon. There are trains to Hasimara from Kolkata (690 kms), Delhi (1663 kms), Ranchi (749 kms), and Kanpur (1197 kms). Another station that offers a decent connectivity is situated in New Jalpaiguri. The tickets and timetable is available on Indian Railway’s IRCTC Website. Though trains take longer but are quite cost efficient and are ideal for budget travellers.
By Road:
The most common way to enter Bhutan from India by road is from Jaigaon town in West Bengal. It is only 4.3 kms from the border town of Bhutan, Phuentsholing. Private cabs are available between the two places. People getting down at Bagdogra (by flight) or at New Jalpaiguri (by train) can also avail cab services. The airport at Bagdogra have prepaid taxis as well. However, for those travelling on budget can hire the cab by directly cracking a deal with the cab drivers.
- Spring (March, April & May)
Spring is a botanist’s delight as various flowers start to bloom.and plants start budding after their long dormancy in winter. Flowers such as rhododendron, wild azaleas, and edelweiss cover the meadows like carpet and add a new sense of wonder.to the Bhutan’s landscape.
- Summer (June, July & August):
It is an abundant time of the year as flowers are in full bloom and valleys are covered in green, weeping willows sweep the banks of many of the river and pine cone glisten in the sun, so full with risen they are ready to plummet to the ground.
- Autumn (September, October & November)
This is the time when the entire landscape turns into golden color. The farmers harvesting their crops in the golden colored paddy fields under the crisp blue skies is just an amazing view of Bhutan’s landscape in the Autumn season.
- Winter (December, January & February)
Winter has its moments. The days are full of sunshine while evenings can turn chilly. Soft turfs of clouds drape lazily over mountain tops as if waiting for new life to blow it across the landscape. The winter season in Bhutan gives one a clear view of the world’s highest Himalayan mountain ranges covered in snow.
